Of 74 stocks mentioned in The Income Investor column, 66% did better than the S&P 500 in Q1 while 40% did better than the Nasdaq. The five best performers:
Adhesive products and specialty chemicals company H.B. Fuller (FUL) rose 42% during the quarter. The dividend's annual yield is 0.9%. Financial firm JPMorgan Chase (JPM)popped 38%. The yield is 2.7%. CA Technologies (CA), an IT management software and solutions provider, jumped 36%. The yield is 3.7%. Cummins (CMI), an engine maker, also advanced 36%. The yield is 1.4%. Herbalife (HLF), a provider of weight-loss products and nutritional supplements, advanced 33%. The annual yield is 1.3%.
